Little girl wounded in drive-by shooting in Dallas

A little girl was shot in a drive-by shooting near Fair Park in southeast Dallas Thursday night, according to reports.

The child was transported to a local hospital after the shooting that occurred before 10 p.m. near the intersection of Metropolitan and Second Avenues.

Her condition is not known.

A witness told WFAA that she heard several gunshots and saw an SUV drive away from the scene.

“All I know is I was at the carwash and I heard some shooting,” the witness told WFAA. “I didn’t run at first, so when I looked up all I saw was [...] the fire coming from the gun.”

She said she heard several gunshots and saw an SUV drive off.

Multiple cars in the area had bullet holes after the drive-by, media reports say. The shots may have come from a red Chevy Tahoe, according to CBS DFW.
