3 dead after crash in West Dallas on Monday night

Police are investigating whether street racing was involved in a rollover crash Monday night that killed three people, WFAA reported.

Frank Palemo, 17, lost control of a 2015 Chevy Tahoe about 7 p.m. on the 3200 block of Norwich Street and crashed at high speed into an empty Ford pickup, according to a Dallas police statement.

The vehicle rolled over, and Santos Mendoza, 24, who was in the back seat, was killed on impact, the statement said.

Palemo, who was was ejected from the vehicle onto the road, Migual Cervantes, 20, and Richard Cruz, 20, were taken to the hospital.

But Palemo and Cruz died from their injuries while en route.

The deaths were confirmed by the Dallas medical examiner Tuesday morning, NBC DFW reported.
