This is pretty wild stuff that kept local TV stations busy for more than a half-hour Wednesday afternoon, but the upshot is captured in this 2 minute and 20 second video: If you’re going to crash into a car while fleeing police, don’t crash into these people.

According to Channel 8’s story, the chase began at Haskell and East R.L. Thorntoin Freeway in Dallas, and lasted about 20 minutes before the driver crashed into several vehicles at a red light, including a minivan whose occipants got out and confronted — and subdued — the suspect.

As the suspect, driving a Dodge Challenger, approaches a red light, he barely slows down as he slams into the rear of the minivan and another car; a pickup also appears to have taken a hit as one of the cars gets knocked into the middle of the intersection.

A woman and two men get out of the minivan; the woman confronts the Challenger driver, then she and one of the men drag the suspect out of the car and onto the ground while the other man falls to the median, apparently in pain, although he’s quickly on his feet again. Police come along and arrest the suspect.
