Fort Worth police appeal for help in identifying possible robbery suspects

Police asked for help on Monday in identifying two men shown in a surveillance camera photograph helping a wounded robbery suspect on Nov. 15 at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital.

The men were recorded on video arriving at the hospital.

The holdup had occurred shortly before 4 a.m. at the Stop Six Food Mart, 5337 Ramey Ave.

A man wearing a ski mask walked into the store, pulled out a handgun and demanded money from a 28-year-old clerk, who was also armed with a handgun. The clerk and suspect struggled, and during the tussle the employee opened fire.

The suspect fled from the store and got into a Mercury Grand Marquis.

A short time later, a Grand Marquis arrived at the Arlington hospital and two men carried the suspect into the emergency room. The men then left.

Fort Worth police determined that the wounded man was the suspect in the holdup. Police identified him as Markies Willie, 24, of Fort Worth. He is expected to be charged with aggravated robbery.

Anyone with information about the other two men should call the Police Department’s robbery unit at 817-392-4370 or Crime Stoppers at 817-469-8477.
