A teenager died Friday night when a car crossed the center line and struck the vehicle he was driving Friday night near Cleburne.
Jesus Rene Delapaz, 23, of Cleburne, was driving west on Farm Road 3048 a few miles northeast of Cleburne about 5:10 p.m. Friday, when it was raining, according to a Department of Public Safety spokesman. Delapaz’s car crossed over into the oncoming lane, striking a car on the driver’s side.
The driver of the other car, Jay Greenidge, 18, of Keene, was transported to a Fort Worth hospital, and died about an hour later, according to the DPS and the medical examiner.
Delapaz and two passengers in Greenidge’s car were also transported to the hospital.
Another vehicle struck debris from the crash, but the driver wasn’t injured.
