Two teens held SWAT members at bay for two hours Wednesday morning from a roof of a gun store before they surrendered to authorities, police said.
The teens -- 15 and 16 year-old boys -- gave up shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday from a roof at Noble Firearms Inc., Military Gun Supply store at 2901 S. Carvens Road.
The teens face charges of delinquent conduct/burglary of a building, said police Capt. Scott Conn in a Wednesday email.
Officers responded to a burglar alarm at the store at about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday.
When they arrived, officers saw two suspects on the roof of the store and ordered them down, Conn said, but they refused.
SWAT members were called to the scene and they negotiated with the teens for two hours before the boys agreed to surrender, police said. SWAT members assisted the teens off the roof.
Evidence at the scene indicated that there had been a burglary at the gun store, but authorities did not release any other details.
