Fort Worth woman escapes alleged kidnapper in Arlington. Police arrest suspect.
Arlington police have arrested a man who allegedly kidnapped a woman near Dunbar High School in Fort Worth on Monday morning, officials with both cities’ police departments said.
Police officers in Arlington responded to a convenience store in the 2300 block of North Collins Street after a woman called to report she had been taken there against her will, officials said.
The woman told police a man had kidnapped her at gunpoint from Fort Worth and brought her to the store, where she managed to escape from him, Arlington police said.
Because the initial incident occurred in Fort Worth, officers from the Fort Worth Police Department responded to the store, according to Arlington police.
The suspect, identified in online jail records as 31-year-old Dominique Henry, had multiple felony warrants and was associated with an Arlington address, officials said.
Officers responded to that address in the 700 block of Taft Drive and arrested Henry without incident, according to a statement.
The Fort Worth Police Department’s major case unit has taken charge of the investigation and is working closely with Arlington police, officials with the Fort Worth Police Department said.
