Police investigate possible drive-by shooting in east Fort Worth

A 19-year-old man was shot in a possible drive-by shooting Thursday night in east Fort Worth.

At 8:11 p.m., a caller told 911 dispatchers that someone had been shot in the 5000 block of East Rosedale Street.

Fort Worth Officer Buddy Calzada said one man was shot in the lower part of his body. He was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital and was in stable condition.

Gang investigation units were on the scene, Calzada said.

About 12 police units and Medstar responded to the area. As of 9:30 p.m., police cars still blocked off the road, and Calzada said no witnesses or suspects had been identified.
