Weatherford Christian School senior Hunter Hasenjaeger recently competed in the Texas Track and Field Meet of Champions at Baylor University. This is the second year for this invitation only meet organized by the Texas Track and Field Coaches Association.

More than 300 of the top-rated participants in the state attended from five high school divisions, including University Interscholastic League, Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools, Texas Christian Athletic Fellowship, Southwest Preparatory Conference and Texas Home School.

Hasenjaeger competed in the 100-meter dash and finished eighth out of 18 runners in the finals with a time of 11 seconds. His time of 10.82 seconds run on April 23 at the TCAF State Championships is the fastest time in Parker County in 2016.

Senior Rhiann Travis of Weatherford Christian School has signed a letter-of-intent with Ohio State University to compete on their rifle team next season. She has been traveling the world as she is attempting to qualify for the Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in August.
