Brock Eagles (11-0) vs. Denver City Mustangs (6-5) Preview
▪ What: Class 3A Division I Region 1 Area Round
▪ When: 7:30 p.m. Friday, Weatherford Kangaroo Stadium
▪ Notable: This is virtually a home game for the Eagles. Brock has so many weapons on offense and defense, it's impossible to pick any one or two to try and stop. But no matter, because no one's been able to do that anyway. Brock has scored more than 50 points nine times this season (49 one other time), including three straight over 60. They blew out Tuscola Jim Ned 70-7 in bi-district. Defensively, the Eagles have held nine opponents to seven points or less. Brock running backs Leddy French and Tyler Gray are among the best in Texas, each having topped 1,100 yards. Last season Brock blasted Bangs in bi-district, but then played three straight one-point games, including a 27-26 win over the Mustangs in this same round when they held Denver City on a late two-point conversion, the teams' only previous meeting.
