The Weatherford College Baseball Booster Club is hosting its third annual Sporting Clay Shoot on Friday.
The event begins at noon at WC’s Agricultural Center on Highway 51 in Weatherford.
Called “golf with a shotgun,” the event will again be directed by Retriever Sporting Clays, Inc. Teams of five will rotate through ten stations of varying difficulty. RSC has hosted sporting clay shoots for nearly 30 years and safety will be the utmost priority.
“The clay shoot is a unique fundraiser,” said Jeff Lightfoot, WC’s Head Baseball Coach and Assistant Athletic Director. “Whether you’re an experienced hunter or a novice, it’s a fun afternoon for all shooters.”

Shooters will be treated to lunch before the event and snacks afterward. The five members of the top team will each receive a trophy. Participants will also have the chance to win one of several valuable door prizes and raffle items.
The cost is $100 per person, and all proceeds benefit the WC baseball program. Individuals should bring their own shotguns and shells. To register or for more information, contact Lightfoot at email@example.com.
