After losing Game 1 in walk-off fashion, defending state champion Aledo rebounded Saturday with a pair of 1-0 wins in Games 2 and 3 to advance past Canyon and into the 5A Region I final.
The Bearcats will meet Fort Worth Arlington Heights for a berth in the state tournament.
Aledo’s lone run in Game 2 came in the bottom of the seventh, when pinch runner Bailey Turner scored on a wild pitch.
Cody Bradford took a no-hitter into the sixth and was eventually replaced by Coby Talley with two outs. Talley earned the victory in Game 2, and then started Game 3 about a half-hour later.

Aledo scratched out a run in the top of the first in Game 3 — when Connor Duer singled in Wade Raburn — and the defense made that run stand up.
It got dicey in the seventh, but the Bearcats were able to throw out a runner at home to preserve the lead.
Talley also earned the win in Game 3, throwing five shutout innings.
