The Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) has announced that two trustees have been elected to serve on the TASB Board of Directors.
Bobby Rigues of Aledo ISD will fill the interim position vacancy in Region 11A created by the election of Charles R. Stafford, Denton ISD, to TASB president-elect. Filling the vacancy in Region 20A is Rolinda Schmidt of Kerrville ISD.
TASB is a nonprofit association established in 1949 to serve local public school districts. School board members are the largest group of publicly elected officials in the state. The districts they represent serve more than 5.2 million students.
