Employees of the Eggleston and King Law offices were met with a big surprise when they arrived at work Monday.
Sometime overnight a part of the building crumbled and fell onto U.S. 180, blocking a lane of traffic and forcing the road to be closed.
State Rep. Phil King, R-Weatherford, who offices at the location at 102 Houston Street, said he suspects the recent deluge of rain had something to do with the mishap. North Texas has received more than 8 inches of rain since Thanksgiving, making 2015 the wettest year on record.

“Take the drought we had over the last few years and follow up with the rain we have experienced this spring and fall ... I suspect that may have been a contributing factor,” King said.
