Parker County’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is an all-hazard training team that is looking for interested residents to join the program designed to help protect families, friends and neighbors and the county in an emergency situation.
The spring 2015 CERT class will be held on two Saturdays, June 6 and 13, from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. and on Monday evenings, June 8 and 15 from 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
CERT volunteers are trained in basic disaster skills to respond effectively and efficiently without placing themselves in danger. The level of training equips CERT members to function as a first responder during a disaster until professional fire, police and EMS arrive on scene which could be a couple of minutes or hours.
This is a free class, and will be held at the Emergency Management facility at 215 Trinity St. in Weatherford. If interested in attending, please RSVP to Kit Marshall at 817-598-0969 or email@example.com.
