Cori Ford was named the 2015-16 Joe Tison Outstanding Speech Student at the Weatherford College Fine Arts and Communication Department’s 10th annual Outstanding Public Speaking Competition on March 29. The speech contest is named in honor of Joe Tison, former Weatherford ISD educator and superintendent, former Weatherford mayor and interim president of Weatherford College.
Contestants are students who are nominated by their speech instructors. The competition was judged by a three-member panel made up of volunteers from various departments of the college. Participants in the contest were Jayson King, Cori Ford, Kartha Khem and Victoria Bearden.
