Theatre Off The Square in Weatherford proudly presents the second production of 2016 and their 17th Season of Shows. Anatomy of Gray is written by Jim Leonard and produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. The compelling drama is directed by Jaclyn Justice, with Ben Brinkmann and Melissa Whiteman as Assistant Directors and Brooke Nelson as Stage Manager. The Weatherford High School theatre student interns are Kelsie Schlosser (Director’s Intern) and Katie Macune (Assistant Stage Manager/Intern). The show dates are March 11 – 20, and April 1 – 3 (closed Easter weekend).
The award winning author of The Diviners describes this play as "a children’s story for adults."
When June’s father dies, she prays for a healer to come to the small town of Gray, so that no one will ever suffer again. Set in Indiana during the 1800’s, the play deals with death, loss, love, and healing in a unique coming of age story.
Members of the cast are Curtis Nelson as Galen Gray; Libby Smith as June Muldoon; Melissa Whiteman (March 11 – 20) and Jaclyn Justice (April 1 – 3) as Rebekah Muldoon; Brad Justice as Pastor Phineas Wingfield; Kathy Manning as Tiny Wingfield; Ray Shannon as Crutch Collins; Selita Sprunger as Belva Collins; Laurie Jones as Maggie; and Robert Chavez and Jett Good as Homer.
Attend an afternoon or evening of entertainment beginning Fri., March 11, and running through Sun., March 20, then continuing April 1 – 3. Show times are Fri. and Sat. at 8 pm and Sun. at 2 pm. Theatre Off The Square, the only live theatre in Parker County, is located at 114 North Denton Street, Weatherford.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for seniors (60+)/students/children under school age. Matinee tickets are $12 for all ages and no other discounts apply. You can choose your seats and purchase your tickets to any performance online by visiting the website www.theatreoffthesquare.org. The theatre box office is open from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm Thurs. evenings to purchase tickets and to reserve seats.
Groups of 10 or more may reserve seating with prepaid admission of $13 per person on Fridays and Saturdays and $11 per person on Sundays. Additionally, all tickets are $15 at the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce, with reserved seating recommended by calling 817-341-8687.
