Meet Jake, a friendly, happy dog who loves to greet you wagging his whole body. He's only 35 pounds full grown, at 2 years of age. We rescued him when he was a stray puppy (in 2014) but his adoptive family can no longer care for him, so he's back with his foster family until he's adopted.
Jake is an energetic boy in need of a little training and direction. He enjoys walks and is good with older children. He may not do well with cats. Jake's favorite place to be is with his favorite person getting belly rubs. He will sleep in his dog bed, but would prefer to cuddle up with you in your bed. Jake is house trained and will let you know when he has to go out and take care of business, then will sit patiently until you let him back in.
Jake is looking for a home with a secure fenced yard with plenty of room to exercise in. This active boy wouldn't do well in an apartment. Since he digs and escapes when bored, he will need an active family willing to exercise his mind and body. He would do best in a home with a dog playmate or older children to take him on walks. Jake is neutered, on heartworm prevention, microchipped, received all age-appropriate vaccinations and on flea prevention. His adoption fee is only $75. Donations from our supporters help us to keep our adoption fees low and allows us to help more animals in need.
If you are interested in giving Jake a forever home, please visit our webpage at www.parkerpaws.org and complete an adoption application. In order to make the best match for our animals, all applicants are interviewed prior to adoption. If you do not have access to the internet, you may reach us at 817-694-5718. Thank you for choosing to adopt.
