October 14, 2014 10:15 AM

The Millsap Neighborhood Home & Garden Club recognized JoAnn Barnhart as Woman of the Year at its luncheon meeting on October 1.

The Club President, Teresa Howard, compared Barnhart to James Brown. He was said to be the hardest working Rock ‘n’ Roll performer and “without a doubt our ‘JB’ is the hardest working volunteer any of us has ever seen.” Barnhart works “diligently for the Millsap Neighborhood Home and Garden Club, as well as the Millsap Historical Society, the Abandoned Cemetery Association, her church, her neighbors, the Millsap schools, etc.”

“She is the driving force behind many community improvements and project advancements. She is a special lady that works diligently for her community and is very deserving of Woman of the Year recognition.”
