Newberry Cumberland Presbyterian Church celebrates 147 years of worship in Parker County on Sunday, Sept. 27, with A Quilted Homecoming.
Just as small sections of fabric and thread come together into one quilt, and each piece is essential to the whole, the church will celebrate the many ways we are all stitched together by faith and through God’s grace, into a warm fellowship.
Worship will begin at 10:45 a.m. under the historic Tabernacle on the church grounds at 1301 Newberry Road, Millsap. A pot luck lunch will follow in the Fellowship Hall, and quilts through the ages will be on display in the sanctuary.
The church, which is located just south of Hwy. 180 between Weatherford and Mineral Wells, invites everyone to be part of the fabric and fellowship that is A Quilted Homecoming.
