A 53-year-old Fort Worth man pleaded guilty to five counts of sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy and was sentenced to 50 years in prison this week.
Clinton Lee Dial admitted to sexually abusing the boy during three different dates in February and April 2017, according to a news release from the Parker County district attorney's office.
Dial will not be eligible for parole until 2042 when he will be 77-years-old, said Jeff Swain, Parker County assistant district attorney.
“The offense was discovered when the victim’s mother saw some disturbing messages and videos on her son’s Facebook messenger app, which he had left open,” said Susan Pruett, Parker County prosecutor.

“After Parker County Sheriff’s Office investigators confronted Mr. Dial about the victim’s allegations, he admitted requesting that the victim send him sexually explicit pictures and videos and that he had sexually assaulted the victim.”
Dial was convicted of sexual performance by a child and two counts each of sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child on Monday, the release said.
“Unfortunately, our victim has struggled in the aftermath of his sexual assault,” Swain said. “He and his family really needed closure and were glad that we were able to reach a resolution to the case while also obtaining a long sentence.”
