A motorcyclist who lost control of his vehicle as he was exiting a highway was killed Friday night after he crashed into a guardrail, police said.

The victim has been been identified as Loren Spencer, 55, of Haltom City, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website on Monday.

Spencer was pronounced dead at 11:57 p.m. Friday at John Peter Smith Hospital. A ruling on the cause of his death is pending.

Patrol officers responded to a major accident call Friday night on Interstate 30 at the Riverside Drive exit.

Police determined that Spencer lost control of his motorcycle as he was exiting the highway. Police did not release any information on what caused him to lose control.

A police report indicated that it was a single-vehicle accident, and no other injuries were reported.
