Southlake PD seeking suspicious man who approached kids

Police are investigating an incident from last week when a man reportedly approached several children in Southlake.

According to a police news bulletin, a parent reported Friday that the day before, several children were getting off a school bus about 3 p.m. in the 100 block of Belmont Place Circle when a man in a car began talking to them.

The children told the parent that the man said something about “My Little Pony” toys, and a girl started walking toward the vehicle before her brother stopped her. The children then walked away, and the man said, “You better watch out,” before driving away.

The man is described as older and thin with white hair and a beard, according to police. The vehicle is believed to be a blue passenger car or SUV.

Anyone with information about the man or the incident are asked to report it to police at 817-743-4522.
