Santa Claus is extra hungry this year and will make an additional stop in Southlake.
The City of Southlake is adding another day of Breakfast with Santa so more residents can pencil in a meal with Saint Nick.
“Breakfast with Santa has historically been one of our most popular events and typically sold out with a few weeks when registration opens up on Aug. 1,” Jenni McClure, Southlake Community Services communications and marketing manager, said.
Breakfasts will be held on Saturday and Dec. 13 with three morning time slots: 7:45-8:45, 9:15-10:30 and 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m at Southlake Town Hall. As of Dec. 1, four of the six sessions have sold out.

The event welcomes families to indulge in a breakfast buffet, make holiday crafts and take a photo with Santa.
Southlake has hosted the event for at least 15 years and in the past has had two 75-person sessions on one day. Organizers hope to invite 450 participants to the event with the added day and times.
“Given the space that we utilize we really cannot increase the enrollment maximum, plus part of what makes our Breakfast with Santa popular and original is that it is a small event,” McClure said.
McClure added that the smaller groups allow for a better experience.
“Everyone wants to spend time with the big man, and our event provides a great opportunity to do so,” she said. “Because we limit the registration to 75 people, families are not rushed to get their photo and the kids have a few minutes where they can talk to Santa, give him their wish list and get an extra hug.”
