Northeast Tarrant area cities celebrated National Night Out last week with events intended to build a sense of community between residents and public safety workers.
The event allows neighbors to meet one another and to engage with their public safety departments.
In Colleyville, the fire department bested police in the annual softball contest held as part of National Night Out.
Neighborhoods across Grapevine held parties where officials displayed some of the public safety equipment used to protect citizens and got to know the residents.
