Police asked for help Wednesday in finding a missing teen who was last seen near her home.

Kaytlynn Cargill, 14, is listed as a missing person, but detectives say they do not believe that she is in any danger or was abducted.

For that reason, an Amber Alert has not been issued for Cargill. CBS 11 reported that Bedford officers were knocking on doors hoping to find leads in the case.

“The kids she was with have been giving us different stories and we’re checking every lead,” police Lt. David Smith said Wednesday. “We do not have any previous reports of her being a runaway.”

Cargill was last seen about 6:20 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of Oak Creek Lane, near her home.

The teen is about 4-foot-6 and weighs about 85 pounds. She was wearing a light blue hat, white T-shirt and jean shorts with white lace around the bottom.

Anyone within information should call police at 817-952-2440.
