A fourth victim of a fiery crash on Texas 183 died Monday afternoon in a Dallas hospital, police said.

Three other people died Sunday morning in the wreck that occurred when a pickup hit the back of a loaded dump truck, which was westbound on the highway, and then burst into flames.

Police identified the victims killed Sunday morning as Olivia Munoz, 28, of Rockwall; Felipe Garcia, 33, of Irving; and Reynaldo Garcia, 36, of Irving.

A fourth person in the pickup was critically injured and taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. That victim, identified by police as Edgar Garcia, 28, of Irving, died Monday at the Dallas hospital, police said.

Police responded to the major accident call shortly before 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the westbound lanes of Texas 183 near O’Connor Road.

“It appears speed and alcohol were factors in the crash,” Irving police spokesman James McLellan said Sunday. “There were no skid marks.”

The driver of the dump truck was not injured, police said.

The highway was closed for more than five hours as authorities investigated.
