Santa Claus will be giving everyone the cold shoulder at Gaylord Texan this holiday season.
The resort’s 13th annual Lone Star Christmas extravaganza will feature a 2-million-pound hand-carved ICE! sculpture attraction themed after the holiday television classic Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town.
ICE! — an indoor winter wonderland — features a walk-through holiday attraction, kept at a chilly 9 degrees.
Detail carver Jiwei Wang, 62, doesn’t mind the cold weather.

“I really love ice sculpture,” said Wang, from Harbin, China. “I really love all things ice.”
Besides a sculpture of Santa, highlights include five two-story tall ice slides, an all-new outdoor ice skating rink, 12-lane snow tubing hill, an enchanting parade of toys, gingerbread decorating and photos with Santa. The 125-acre resort grounds will be decorated with two million twinkling lights, 15,000 festive ornaments, a 54-foot-tall Christmas tree and 25-foot-tall nutcrackers.
ICE! will open Nov. 10 and run through Jan. 1.
