Nothing like a Frosty Frog run
Summit High School’s annual Frog Week activities will sponsor the Frosty Frog 5K on Feb. 14.
Sponsored by the Summit Student Council to raise funds for a benevolence program to benefit a Summit student or staff member, the week-long series of events will culminate with the run at the high school campus.
Registration is $25 per person or $20 each for a team of 10 and can be completed on the link on the Summit school website or their Facebook page, or at the school.

Legacy athletes ink offers
Seven Legacy athletes were set to sign their official national letters of intent on Wednesday.
Among the Broncos making commitments for athletic scholarships are:
Football: Taaj Bakari – Oklahoma State; Gentry Ivery – Pittsburgh University; Braxton Thomas – Southeastern Oklahoma; Byron Edwards – Panhandle State, Oklahoma and Braylon Chandler – SW University, Georgetown, Texas. Girls Soccer: Khirah Madison – Southeastern Florida; Ashley Phelan – Cisco Jr. College.
MISD swimmers, divers take district titles
The recent 8-5A and 8-6A swimming and diving district meets were held at the MISD Natatorium, with several Mansfield ISD athletes taking titles. The top six in each event also qualified for the regional meets next weekend.

Mansfield hockey looks to get back on track
The Mansfield varsity hockey team dropped its third straight game last week in a 4-2 loss to McKinney.
Mansfield will be back on the ice on Thursday to play Frisco.
