I want to thank couple in the Escalade and another lady for stopping on Cardinal Road to help the little dog that was hit by a car when everyone else was driving around him. They blocked the lane to keep him from getting hit by another car, called the police and stayed with him until an officer arrived.
And a big thank you to Officer Sheets for being so kind and caring and taking the little dog to the Animal Emergency Clinic, bringing back our blanket and giving us an update on the dog's condition.
We see dogs on this street too often and they are not strays but have gotten out of their yard and gone exploring. Too many times we have seen near misses because too many people ignore the 35 mph speed limit and use Cardinal Road as their personal drag strip.
