Incumbent Stephen Lindsey has filed for re-election to his City Council seat.
So far there are no contested races for Mansfield City Council or school board.
The filing period for candidates seeking one of the five seats up for election – three on the council and two on the school board – expires Feb. 27 for the May 9 general election.
Lindsey, 45, who has served on the council since 2010 when he filled an unexpired term, filed for his second full, three-year term in Place 3. He joins Place 4 Councilman Darryl Haynes, 62, as the only two council incumbents who have filed. Place 5 Councilman Cory Hoffman, 45, said he plans to file for a fourth term.
