Approximately 300 people gathered in front of the Mansfield Public Safety building Friday evening to pray for the Dallas police officers killed by a sniper Thursday night.

The prayer vigil, organized by Mayor David Cook and Mansfield Churches for the City, included speeches by Mansfield Police Chief Tracy Aaron, and a fund-raising campaign by Aaron’s wife, Sherri, for the families of the police officers who died.

Pastors from Bethlehem Baptist, The Community at Lake Ridge, Walnut Ridge Baptist and Living Church, among others, prayed for the safety of all police officers and for peace.
