December 9 Toys for Tots

Bring a new unwrapped toy and head to the MISD Center for Performing Arts from 5-10:30 p.m. for Toys for Tots. A parade, snow hill, arts & crafts, inflatable obstacle course, reindeer and train rides are planned. Admission and all events, except food trucks, are free. The center is at 1110 W. Debbie Lane.

December 10 Holiday Open House

Come celebrate the season with your friends at Frost Bank, 1000 N. Walnut Creek Drive, during a Holiday Open House 6-8 p.m. The event is open to the public. There will be food, refreshments and pictures with Santa Claus at no charge. Non-perishable food items will be accepted to benefit the Wesley Mission Center.

Hazardous waste collection

Mansfield residents can bring their household hazardous waste to the Environmental Collection Center, 616 S. Wisteria St., from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Free.

December 14 City Council meeting

The Mansfield City Council will meet at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 1200 E. Broad St. Meetings are open to the public. The meetings are also broadcast on Charter Communications channel 27. For more information, call 817-276-4200.
