Turkey Trot

December 4 Hometown Holidays

Head to City Hall, 1200 E. Broad St., for Hometown Holidays from 5-9 p.m. There will be an outdoor skating rink, penquins from the Dallas Zoo, a performance by Mansfield Community Theatre, Holiday Market, visits with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, tree lighting and fireworks. Free.

December 5 Holiday Parade

Go to downtown Mansfield for the Hometown Holidays Parade, starting at 2:30 p.m. The parade starts at St. Jude Catholic Church, 500 E. Dallas St., turns onto Main Street, turns right on Oak Street, right on Smith Street, left on Broad Street, then right on Waxahachie Street back to the church. Free.

Bring a new unwrapped toy and head to the MISD Center for Performing Arts from 5-10:30 p.m. for Toys for Tots. A parade, snow hill, arts & crafts, inflatable obstacle course, reindeer and train rides are planned. Admission and all events, except food trucks, are free. The center is at 1110 W. Debbie Lane.
