Holiday tour features five homes decorated for the season

The Mansfield Women’s Club Holiday Home Tour will be held from 1-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, in conjunction with the Mansfield Hometown Holidays weekend. Last year’s tour was extremely successful even after an ice storm delayed the event one week. The committee was pleased with the turnout and the excitement.

The tour will feature five homes decorated for the holiday season, highlighting special Christmas collections and decorations belonging to each family. Each home is unique. Dr. Walter Leon and Jamie have been on the Tour of Homes twice before. Many who have toured their home are excited to see what they’ve got planned this year.

Mayor David Cook and wife, Tonya, are in a new gorgeous home built by Mansfield Custom Homes. The Lees’ house is Southwestern, and the guest house and grounds will be an added feature. Be sure to check out the decorated whimsical alley in the side yard. The Haggertys’ home will be beautifully decorated for Christmas, with Janie and her daughter creating a warm Christmas spirit through their home. Myndee Hassell’s home has been extensively remodeled, so we are all looking forward to seeing this gorgeous house.

Tickets can be purchased at Frost Bank, Creekside Collections and Mansfield Community Bank or from any club member for $25 in advance or $30 at the door of each home on the day of the tour. No credit card sales. Please keep in mind the limitations: children under 12 should not attend, the homes are not handicap accessible, and the tour will be held rain or shine. For more information, go to www.mansfieldwomensclub.com or follow the event on Facebook, Mansfield Women’s Club. This year’s co-chairs are Karen Payton and Gayle Lambert.

Proceeds will benefit non-profit organizations to help area children and women with health and educational needs.
