Air Force Airman 1st Class Brendan J. Rhoden graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Rhoden is the son of Karen M. Callesoe of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Darin S. Rhoden of Lithia, Fla. He is the step-son of Tracey L. Rhoden of Lithia, Fla., grandson of Mary-Jo Callesoe of Palm Harbor, Fla., and nephew of Stephanie Burns of Mansfield.

He is a 2014 graduate of Joe E. Newsome High School in Lithia Fla.
