Piano students of Mickey Legg presented their spring recital at her Mansfield home May 17.

Maya Justice played “Garden Pools in Kyoto” by Lynn F. Olson and “Allegretto” by Diabelli. Gabi Senato’s pieces included “Italian Children’s Game” by Giuliani, a duo arrangement with Legg. Morgan Peterson chose some western themes with “Legend of the Buffalo” and “Indian Celebration.” Callie Limpert played “Festival in Aragon” by Lynn F. Olson and “The Cuckoo,” a Baroque piece by Couperin. Rhea Maheshwari and Legg played two duos, “Etude” by Shytte and “Waltz” by Diabelli. Kaley Carrubba included “Quadrille,” a dance piece by Haydn and “Sonatina in A Minor” by Olson.

Callie Limpert earned her five-year Guild pin and certificate for playing a 10-piece Guild program for five years. Her picture will be in the winter 2016 issue of “Piano Guild Notes.” Legg presented Morgan with her first Guild certificate and gold pin for playing a 10-piece program. Rhea, Kaley and Maya (all previous Guild players) received their certificates, pins and report cards. All five students achieved Superior ratings by the Guild judge, Reva Jean Beck. Gabi Senato received the sight-reading award, a book of selections from the movie “Frozen.” Legg awarded Kaley, Callie and Morgan with practice trophies.

Students and their families enjoyed refreshments and visiting after the program.
