Students of Mickey Legg gathered at her Mansfield piano studio to celebrate and play their Halloween pieces. Morgan Peterson, Alec Dang, Marcus Metsala, Kaley Carrubba, Dani Grena, Max Grena and Alex Grena played the music that they played at the solo/duet festival held at the University of Texas at Arlington on Oct. 22. Having earned superior ratings, they are on track to win trophies that are sponsored by the Arlington Music Teachers Association.

Blake Carrubba played two solos and three duets with Legg. Sean Dang, brother of Alec, played three guitar pieces including “The Star Spangled Banner.” Callie Limpert played “French Doll” by Gillock and Tarrantella Brillante accompanied by Legg. Katie Nguyen played two solos and “Andante,” a duet accompanied by her teacher Harriet Motter.

After performing, the students enjoyed refreshments with their parents and friends. They concluded the event with Music Symbol Bingo.
