Christ Presbyterian begins Advent series

Remembrance service set at First Methodist

Join First Methodist Mansfield for their annual Remembrance Service at 2 p.m. Dec. 7 in the chapel in Building C. This service is a time for the community to honor the lives of loved ones who have passed. You may place an ornament in memory of a loved one on the Remembrance Tree outside the chapel and bring photos of loved ones to display at the service. Ornaments must be retrieved by Jan. 15, 2015. Kids’ basketball season starts Dec. 8

Knights host Elvis
Get all shook up at Elvis Night, starting at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Knghts of Columbus Hall, 2625 S. Cooper St. in Arlington. The Knights of Columbus Assembly 2112 present Las Vegas headliner Kraig Parker. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.
Beer, setups and concessions will be available. The Knights will donate their share of ticket sales to local charities.
Women’s Christmas banquet planned
Crossroads is hosting a Christmas banquet for women of all ages from 7-10 p.m. Dec. 12. It will include a three-course dinner, musical entertainment and a great message, “Celebrating our Savior” from guest speaker, Marilyn Meberg. St. Jude’s holds Bingo
St. Jude Catholic Church offers Bingo on the second Saturday of every month. Bingo packets are $25 to play 14 games. Cover all guarantee payout is $300. The hall opens at 6 p.m., with first call at 6:30 p.m. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. The St. Jude Parish Hall is at the corner of Graves and Dallas streets.
Walnut Ridge plans special service

Celebrate Christmas with your family at one of Crossroads’ Christmas Eve Candlelight Services. Sing your favorite Christmas songs, and enjoy a short Christmas devotional from Pastor Cameron.
