Three Mansfield Summit High School students were taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after staff member reported “suspicious behavior” after they got to school, according to a school district statement.
They had “apparently taken the substance Xanax en route to school,” the statement said.
The students were treated at the hospital as a precaution and are expected to be OK.
“The safety of our students will always remain our top priority. MISD staff is continuously educated about the signs of drug and alcohol abuse, which is why the students were able to be identified and treated quickly,” the statement said.
