The inaugural Kelley Awards celebrating excellence in high school musicals rolled out the red carpet for students and fans Jan. 16 at Timber Creek High School.
The Tony-style show featured a video montage and live production number from each musical, along with awards given in 19 categories.
Among the top honors: Keller High School’s The Addams Family won for best musical, best actor, best supporting actor and actress, best musical number, best direction and excellence in scenic design.
Timber Creek’s West Side Story won for best actress, best technical crew, best orchestra, best musical direction and excellence in choreography, sound and lighting design.

The production by Fossil Ridge of Shrek: The Musical won for best actress in a minor role and excellence in costume design and hair/makeup; and Central’s Legally Blonde won for best ensemble and best actor in a minor role.
