Keller took the spotlight Friday in KRLD Radio’s “Your Hometown Tour.”
The local radio station broadcast live from Feedstore BBQ and More, 134 South Main St. all day, highlighting local topics of interest and interviewing residents.
The news anchors interviewed Police Chief and Interim City Manager Mark Hafner and Mayor Mark Mathews and enjoyed the barbecue at the spot in Old Town Keller.
Many residents stopped by to meet the anchors and see the show, which called Keller a “good typical North Texas town,” while highlighting unique stories and points of interest in Keller.

New Keller businesses Juice Junkies, a juice bar; Knobbies and Slicks, a bike shop, and Shannon Brewery were featured in stories about recent commercial growth in the city, but the radio station also gave plenty of airtime to local history, including the old water tower, old Jarvies House and Old Town Keller.
Conversations painted the city as a small town with a good hometown feel, but also business-friendly as commercial growth continues.
