Northwest district officials are asking for help in identifying three individuals who got into Northwest High School over the Memorial Day weekend and spray painted graffiti in multiple locations in the building and on the grounds.

Although officials have not confirmed how the three gained access to the school, they believe that the vandals got on the roof and into the building through an interior courtyard, said Emily Conklin, director of communications.

When they returned on Tuesday, campus staff members found graffiti on interior and exterior windows and doors, hallway walls and floors, exterior brick, the roof, the football field, tennis courts and track.

On surveillance camera footage released by district officials, three individuals wearing ski masks are seen walking around inside the building, two of them using cans of spray paint to write “2K16” and obscenities on interior windows, doors and the school seal.

District officials are asking community members to view the video and, if they have any information, to send a tip to Campus Crimestoppers by texting NISD plus your message to CRIMES (274637), or go to the NISD Tip Line at www.nisdtx.org/tipline. All tips remain anonymous and Campus Crimestoppers pays cash for any tips that lead to an arrest. For more information on how to send a tip, go to campustipster.com.
