Thank you Keller.
I am very proud to live in a community that supports the efforts of Community Storehouse and the children in our community who are living at or below the poverty level. So many of you came out on Monday to support our visit and volunteer help from Ohio State and the University of Oregon! Community Storehouse was chosen out of all the non-profits in North Texas because we offer such strong educational programs to the children in our local community. "The Community Storehouse mission really spoke to both of our institutions," said Amy Quiring, director of major student events at the University of Oregon. "They have a mission of serving the children in the community and keeping them in school when times are hard. It was really important for us to support that mission."
A big thank you to Councilman Bill Dodge for coming and welcoming both schools to Keller. Everyone, from the Presidents of both schools to the students, felt very welcomed and appreciated.
On behalf of the 4,000 plus children we serve, thank you Keller.
