The Keller Varsity Silver hockey team won its fourth straight game on Thursday night, defeated McKinney by a score of 4-0 at the Euless Green Arena.
The two teams played nearly two full periods without a score, but with eight seconds left to play in the second, Brady Salicos scored on a shorthanded goal to give Keller a 1-0 lead heading into the third period.
Mark Miller picked up the assist on the Salicos goal.
Keller poured it on in the third period, scoring three unanswered goals to get the win.

Brian Lassan scored at the 12:50 mark of the third period to make it 2-0 Keller on assists from Robert Healey and Nathaniel Lee.
Braxton Drumm made it 3-0 a minute and a half later with assists from Thomas Speicher and Joseph Trazzera and Lassan put the game out of reach with his second goal of the night, again on an assist from Healey.
Keller out shot McKinney 32-7 in the game and had four penalties to McKinney’s six.
Keller remains atop the Varsity Silver division standings with the victory and will take on Denton County at 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 3 at the Euless Green Arena in its next game.
Denton County wins fourth straight
The Denton County Varsity Silver hockey team won its fourth game in a row on Thursday night making for what promises to be a contentious showdown when they square off with top-ranked Keller in their next game.
Denton County defeated Southlake Carroll by a score of 4-0 on Thursday night at the Miller Arena in Farmers Branch to pull their season record even with three wins and three losses, including an overtime win.
Michael Fatta got things going for the Varsity Silver team at the 11:54 mark of the first period on an unassisted goal to make it 1-0 heading into the second period.
Chance Moore called at the 5:23 mark of the second period to make it 2-0 on an assist from Austin Bouchard and that was the score headed into the third.
Michael Mankin scored with 1:23 to play in the game on an assist from Michael Christos Samatas and Ryan Martell scored with one second left on an assist from Garrett Boseley to make it 4-0 Denton County.
Christopher McElroy stopped 25 shots on goal in the game for Denton County, who will play Keller at 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 3 at the Euless Green Arena.
