Keller voters can mark Dec. 9 on their calendars as the day a runoff election will be held to fill the Place 2 seat on the Keller City Council.
Christopher Whatley and Armin Mizami were the top two candidates after the Nov. 4 special election failed to produce a majority vote for any candidate, as required by the city charter. They will square off again in the runoff.
Of a little more than 10,000 votes cast in the election on Nov. 4, Whatley received about 48 percent of the vote, Mizani had 37 percent and Frank Roszell received 15 percent, according to certified results from Tarrant County.
The City Council met Nov. 13 to call a runoff between Whatley and Mizani.
