A recent study by a consumer advocacy website ranked Keller in its Top 10 places in Texas for young families.

NerdWallet, a financial advice website, analyzed the schools, home value and ownership costs, income and growth and prosperity of 111 cities, towns and places in Texas of more than 25,000 people; Keller ranked as the seventh best on the list, one of seven Dallas-Fort Worth suburbs in the top 10.

Keller was the second-most affluent city among the top 10, and it had a strong education rating.

"As a northern suburb of Fort Worth, residents have the benefit of being close to a metropolis, but without having to give up vibrant parks and public art displays," the study says about Keller.

Southlake ranked 16th on the list, touting the highest median home value, homeowner costs and household income among all the places on the list.

The study noted most of the highest-ranked places in the fastest-growing state were suburbs with high-performing schools and high income growth; the study credited Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport as "the big driver of this growth."
