High winds raced through Northeast Tarrant County Monday afternoon, with Trophy Club receiving reporting the highest number of power outages.
April Reiling, a spokeswoman for Trophy Club, was working without power about 4 p.m. Monday after winds swept through the town about an hour earlier.
She said about they lost power to about 1,000 sites. Oncor was reporting 1,489 outages in the area.
The Trophy Club spokeswoman said they were told that power was expected to be restored about 9 p.m. to the town that has a population of approximately 11,500 and about 4,100 homes.
According to Oncor, there were 442 outages in Grapevine Monday afternoon. City Manager Bruno Rumbelow said they were aware of about 200.
Keller spokeswoman Rachel Reynolds said the largest report they had was of 133 customers without power. Isolated pockets of five customers or less were also reported.
Oncor spokesman Kris Spears said they afternoon outages appeared to be separate from outages caused when a strong line of thunderstorms raced through North Texas Monday morning, leaving thousands without power.
