Keller

Nov. 1-Public Safety Fall Festival hosted by Keller Police and Fire, from 3-6 p.m., Nov. 1, at Keller Lions Club grounds, 532 Keller Parkway. Attendees will be able to learn more about their public safety departments and get hands on with vehicles, equipment and uniforms. Keller’s mounted patrol and K-9 unit will also be at the event. There will also be non-safety activities including free food and beverages, bounce houses and more festivities for children.

Haslet

Oct. 11- Sendera Ranch Subdivision’s 16th semi-annual Garage Sale, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.. Located of Avondale Haslet between FM 156 and HWY 287. Over 125 houses participating. Rain date is set for Oct. 25th. We are located just off of Avondale Haslet between FM 156 and HWY 287.

Roanoke

Ongoing. Inklings, relaxed writing group for ages 18 and up. All writers are welcome, published or unpublished. Meets each Saturday, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., at the Roanoke Public Library, 308 S. Walnut. Free. For information call 817-491-2691 or email sthompson@roanoketexas.com.

Trophy Club

Oct. 18 - Trophy Club Citywide Garage Sale, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Locator maps will be sold at main entrances to Trophy Club the day of the sale for $1. Starting on Sept. 18, residents can purchase a garage sale permit for $20 at Tom Thumb or Sassy Flamingo. All proceeds from the permits and maps sales will go to benefit local charities. Westlake

Oct. 18 – Westlake Classic Car Show, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., in the parking lot at Larry North Fitness at Solana, 2902 Sam School Road (Texas 114 at Kirkwood/Solana Blvd. exit). The free event benefits the Westlake Historical Preservation Society and will showcase original or restored to near original classic automobiles, trucks and pickups from 1909 to 1959. Northwest ISD

Oct. 18 - Northwest High School Craft Show, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., Northwest High School, 2301 Texan Blvd, Justin, admission is canned food donation. The show will feature items such as painted glassware, Vintage decor, shabby-chic furniture, harvest and holiday decorations. Looking for vendors.
