Keller Police Captain Michael Wilson has been selected as the department's new chief.
Wilson started as a Keller Police officer 14 years ago, serving in Community Services, Support Services, D.A.R.E.and overseeing accreditation, hiring and training.
"My approach will be on valuing and demonstrating respect for our team members and citizens alike,” Wilson said. “We want them to view the Keller Police Department as just and fair in how we treat team members and how we go about interacting with our citizens."
Wilson said he intends to continue the model put in place by his predecessor, Mark Hafner, now Keller's city manager, of a focus on best practices, transparency, customer service and community partnerships.
